In Memory of Jim Nolan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James M. Nolan on Sunday, December 7, 2008. Jim was a long-time ChildSavers friend and Board member who had recently been named an Emeritus Director in recognition of his extraordinary service.

Jim was born and raised in Bethlehem, PA, where he graduated from Bethlehem Catholic High School in 1975. He earned his Bachelor of Arts (1979, magna cum laude) and his Juris Doctor (1982) degrees from Georgetown University. He began his career at the law firm of Milbank Tweed in New York, and joined the firm of Mays & Valentine, now Troutman Sanders LLP, in Richmond in 1989. He became a partner of the firm in 1990. Jim was generous to ChildSavers in so many ways, and his generosity extended to asking those who knew and cared about him to make gifts in his memory to ChildSavers.
